On behalf of British Orienteering, I would like to say thank you for coming to JK2019. We trust you had an enjoyable 4 days of orienteering in South Central England and a safe journey home. We hope you enjoyed running in our forests and the courses planned for you all, the arenas and that you appreciated the close car parking. The sunshine was a bonus.
Also, a huge vote of thanks must go to the hundreds of volunteers who put in many hours of work during the weekend and in the months and years beforehand, without them there would be no JK. I am sure you would agree that they helped make JK2019 a great weekend for all.
We must apologise again for the issues with results. The ranking results are now available to view on the British Orienteering website for days 1, 2 & 3.
Full results including combined results for days 2 & 3 and splits for all days can be accessed from the Race progress website
Links to Routegadget are also now available on the JK website. Please do add your routes - the planners are keen to see what route choices were made on the courses they spent many hours planning.
Thank you very much for your patience over the results from the JK 2019. We apologise again for the problems you experienced. We have been working hard to resolve the issues.
Please note that whilst the Controllers, Event Advisers, Organisers, Planners & Coordinators have spent many hours trying to check that the weekend's results are correct, they are aware there are probably still issues with some of them. Rest assured that British Orienteering has already started to investigate what went wrong and how we might prevent these issues from happening again.
If you still feel that your result is not correct or have any other issues with the final results, then please follow the procedure in the Rules of Orienteering – para 16.
Due to the circumstances, athletes are permitted to lodge a ‘complaint’ in writing to the JK co-ordinators, Di and Terry Smith (firstname.lastname@example.org) These must be received by 12th May 2019. Please give as much information as you can about the issue so it can be investigated as thoroughly as possible. If you are not satisfied with the response, the procedure on 16.4 onwards will be followed and a ‘Protest’ will be allowed providing it is received within the specified timeframe as indicated in the response to your ‘complaint’.
